How ADB SAFEGATE built a global merch programme with Monday Merch
ADB SAFEGATE keeps airports moving in more than 175 countries, but its merchandise was managed differently in every market. Working with Monday Merch, the company turned scattered local orders into one consistent global merch programme, complete with an automated merch store.

ADB SAFEGATE is the leading global provider of airside technologies, founded in Belgium over a century ago. As Global Marketing Director Ilya Burkin puts it: “No one sees what we do, but everyone uses us. Every time you land or take off at an airport and you see the lights, that’s us.”
With teams across Europe ordering merchandise independently, keeping the brand consistent had become a struggle. “Previously, the whole management of our merchandise was a mess, which led to inconsistency in branding, and that was the reason we went to work with Monday Merch,” says Ilya. Sustainability mattered just as much. “A big aspect of our work is sustainability and environmental impact. The fact that Monday Merch provides sustainable merch played a big role in choosing.”
What we did
We support ADB SAFEGATE across every part of their merch operation. Local teams in Belgium, Austria, Germany, France, Finland, Italy, the UK, Portugal and now the USA order what they need, from event merch for Airspace World to office essentials, apparel, drinkware and branded USB drives, and the branding stays consistent everywhere. Behind the scenes, we handle production, warehousing and consolidation, bundling orders at our warehouse before they ship across borders.
At the centre sits an automated merch store, first built for EMEA and now being extended to the USA, with the first product assortment already shipped to Columbus, Ohio.

"The merch store Monday Merch created for us, the fact that we didn't need to do anything about it, everything is automatic. That's a unique feature."
The result
What started as a fix for inconsistent branding has grown into a global merch programme spanning nine countries and counting. Local teams order freely while the brand stays recognisable everywhere, from apparel and notebooks to drinkware, bags and tech accessories. Ilya has a favourite: “I love this polo because it’s 100% cotton, it’s very comfortable, everybody likes it!”
And the partnership keeps growing, with the EMEA merch store now serving as the blueprint for a dedicated USA setup. “Our experience with Monday Merch is extremely positive. Communication is clear, and transparency and working very closely and openly, that’s a big thing for me,” says Ilya.
