About ESA
The European Space Agency (ESA) is Europe’s gateway to space. Founded in 1975, ESA is an intergovernmental organisation dedicated to the peaceful exploration and use of space for the benefit of all. With 22 member states, ESA coordinates scientific missions, Earth observation, satellite navigation, and space exploration initiatives. From developing cutting-edge technology to enabling global cooperation, ESA plays a leading role in advancing space science and innovation.
When the European Space Agency (ESA) set out to evolve its merchandise offering, it had two goals: build a seamless, scalable experience for space enthusiasts and streamline internal distribution to support ESA activities and partners. With Monday Merch, they found a service provider capable of delivering both.
A Brand Store Built for Earth and Beyond
Monday Merch worked closely with ESA across every phase of the project — advising them through catalogue creation, warehousing and inventory setup, EU-wide fulfilment, and international shipping logistics. This multi-year contract has been built to support ESA’s global reach, internal efficiency, and long-term brand strategy.
Together, we launched two new ESA merchandise stores:
• A B2C brand store serving space enthusiasts across ESA member states
• A B2B wholesale portal for museums, science centres, and ESA retail partners

On-the-Ground Logistics Across Europe
Beyond e-commerce, Monday Merch handles full production and distribution to ESA’s six official physical stores located in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain — ensuring consistent quality and timely replenishments.
Real-Time Data, Smarter Collections
Through ongoing monitoring of sales and operational performance of the online shop, we help ESA shape what’s next — from new capsule collections to mission-specific drops. Currently in the pipeline: merchandise for the Ignis and Ariane missions, and a globally inclusive “Space for All” collection.

A Scalable System for Thousands of ESA Touchpoints
With 6,368 employees, partners, and space enthusiasts to serve, the scale of the system matters. Together, we’ve not just built a merch store — we’ve created a flexible, data-led ecosystem that supports ESA’s mission to make space exploration accessible and exciting to all.
